Oh god I've been waiting for this movie to come out for MONTHS! and I finally got to watch it! I can't still can't believe Jeff, Nicole and I were able to watch the Midnight Showing - it was a last minute decision after the rehearsal dinner. We got to AMC Route 10 in East Hanover at 11:30 pm and there were actually tickets left and no crazy long ass line like I thought. Granted the theatre was fully packed, but we got good seats in the middle and everyone (mostly women of course) were there for a purpose - to finally see Edward and Bella come to life. We were definitely thankful that everyone was respectful and quiet - only laughed and said "ooh" & "aww" at certain times that it was called for.
As expected, like all the books I've read that turned into movies.....The book was BETTER than the movie. Of course you can't really expect them to film it exactly like the book or exactly like you imagined it. Nonetheless, Rob and Kristen were the perfect Edward and Bella....it's funny because the way they are in the movie is the way they are in real life....well just my observation.....(just date already ha ha ha ha)
I'm having mixed feelings about the movie..I mean - I liked it and was disappointed at the same time. I can't explain it - but my favorite scene is the end during the prom when they were dancing in the gazebo. Not only they played my favorite song on the soundtrack (Flightless Bird) during that scene, but it was just romantic..just the two of them. I loved it. I also liked the end when Victoria was there watching Edward and Bella dance ready to take revenge on them. They left it off for a sequel which has just been green lit to be filmed! Can't wait till New Moon comes out!
